Activating Premium
Enter your licence key once and Premium tools unlock on that computer. After activation, LessPDF never needs to reach our servers again.
Your licence key
You receive one key per seat, on the order confirmation page and in your email. It looks like this:
LPDF-7K3Q-M9XD-2HWT
Four groups of four letters and digits after LPDF. Upper or lower case and missing dashes do not matter. Lost it? Find every key again on your licence page.
Activate with your key
- 1Open LessPDF and choose LessPDF › Settings… (⌘,), then License. On Windows: Menu › Settings › License. You can also choose Enter key… from any Premium tool.
- 2Paste your key into Licence key.
- 3Choose Activate. LessPDF sends only the key, once, and stores the signed licence it gets back. The Premium diamonds disappear from the tools.
No internet on this computer?
Use a licence file instead. On a computer that is online, sign in to your licence page with the emailed link and choose Download licence file. Copy the file across, then choose Import licence file… in Settings › License.
Once activated, Premium works offline for good. If our servers ever went away, your licence would keep working.
If activation fails
LessPDF shows one of these messages under the field. Your documents and any existing license are unchanged.
“This license text could not be read. Check the text or import the license file.”
The key was pasted incompletely or with extra text. Copy it again from your email or licence page, or import the licence file instead.
“This license uses an unknown signing key.”
The licence was not issued for LessPDF, or this copy of the app is out of date. Update LessPDF from the download page and try again.
“This license is for an earlier major version of LessPDF.”
Your licence is for an earlier major version of LessPDF. Nothing is lost: that version keeps working with your licence, and you can go on using it. If you are unsure which version you have, write to support@lesspdf.com.
Reassigned company seats get a new key. If yours stopped activating, ask whoever manages your company's seats for the current one.
